Today we went to the Dino Park located about 45 minutes East of us on the way to Houston. We've passed it about 100 times, but I honestly never even noticed the sign! The park is situated behind an RV Park, so you can't see it from the highway. It was a little pricey ($7/person) but it's run by a couple who are clearly passionate about dinosaurs. There is about a 1/2 mile walking trail with life size dinosaurs along the way and little scavenger hunt type things (eggs, birds, etc) for you to spot. It was really fun, but Logan wanted to either run up ahead, go off the path (a big no-no with poison ivy and rattlesnake warnings), or be carried. Isabel did great until she hit her head on a rock when she fell near the end. She got right back up and ran around afterwards, but it left a nice lump on the side of her head. I called the doctor just to be sure he didn't want to see her and they said unless she lost consciousness to just ice it and give her tylenol if she complained of a headache. I was talking on bluetooth while driving so Isabel heard the entire conversation and started crying afterwards. I asked her what was wrong and she said "I don't care about my head, I just wanted you to ask about my lip." She bit her lip jumping at the farm the day before and apparently that was her main concern.
Tomorrow is Izzy's lead teacher's last day before maternity leave. :-( We will miss her and I'm crossing my fingers that she's back after the holidays!
