No crying! Trip to Sweet Berry Farms

For the first time since starting preschool Logan didn't cry at drop off!  Amazing!  I was expecting him to cry all year, so this was a pleasant surprise.  Isabel cried every.single.day when she was dropped off at MDO when she was 1.  It only lasted a couple of minutes, but it was every time.

On Friday we had swim lessons for izzy.  She's doing really great and has progressed so much.  It makes me feel like the high cost of lessons is really worth it.  Her little class this year is just her and another boy who is always late, so she gets a mini 10 minute private lesson usually.  Can you believe private lessons are $75 for 30 minutes?!  Crazy.

After swim lessons (where a massive scene was made before leaving by both Logan and isabel) we headed over to a playgroup meetup with Logan's preschool class.  It was fun, but a lot of work for me making sure Logan didn't jump off the slide and making sure Isabel played nicely.  I was exhausted Friday afternoon.

Isabel's teacher called for her mini conference this week.  She said Isabel is doing absolutely great, is a big helper and is super tight with one girl in her class.  Yay!  I really like her teacher and will be sad when she is out for maternity leave starting next week.  Her teacher and co teacher are very aware and accommodating for Isabel's allergies and asthma.

This weekend we went to Home Depot on Saturday to get supplies for a little project I'm going to do.  And then we watched football.  Wow, some games!  My Aggies nearly gave me a heart attack, but they did it!  LSU made me sad.  We watched the last 10 or so minutes of the FSU vs NC State game.  Oh my gosh.  How exciting.  It was amazing!  And Texas lost.  Oops.  Haha....  :-)  Now that we're not in the same conference as them it gives me little incentive to root for the Longhorns.  I used to want them to do really well so that it looked that much better when we beat them on Thanksgiving (or the day after), but now, no. Totally want them to lose.  Maybe that's harsh.  Just won't be that sad if they DO lose.  How's that?

On Sunday we went to Sweet Berry Farms.  They don't open until 1pm on Sunday, so we knew it was going to be tricky with nap time, but we did it anyway.  Sweet Berry is about an hour from our house, but we went up North to a store earlier in the day and then had lunch. Our plan was to get there right at 1pm, but we didn't get there until almost 2.  The parking lot was packed, but the place is huge, so it didn't seem crowded at all.  We had a great time!  Logan didn't do well when he had to wait his turn for things, but what's new.  Isabel did really well and had a really fun time.  She was zoned in on picking out her pumpkin and just wanted to do that and forget about the other 'stuff' until she realized it might be fun.  She kept asking to take pictures with all of the cutouts.  Pretty cute.

Now Isabel and Logan are taking some much needed and very late naps.  We came home to the smell of dinner in the crock pot. Yummy!  Nothing like having dinner made and the house smelling delicious on a chilly (yes, I said chilly!) day!  Back up in the 90s next weekend but today is perfect.  So glad we got a day of cold(ish) on the weekend.
