We loaded up the crew and headed to Houston on Friday night. Traffic was a little heavy with Spring Break and SXSW starting. The kids did really well on the ride over.
We headed to the Livestock Show mid morning and had some fun riding a few rides and listening to a little Disney show. Grandma put Isabel's name in a drawing and she won a Blu Ray of 'Wreck it Ralph.' Nice! We saw some cows, horses, pigs, sheep, goats and bees. We planted sunflower seeds in soil. The line for the petting zoo was super long, so we skipped it. Probably for the best since Isabel was getting a tiny bit wheezy around all of the livestock.
Saturday night we watched the new movie and ate popcorn. Lots of popcorn. Sunday we relaxed and went out to lunch, hit up Kid to Kid and loaded up some garage sale items in the truck. We're going to participate in the neighborhood garage sale in mid April and wanted to help load things for Grandma and Grandpa in the truck since Grandpa isn't supposed to lift anything for a few more weeks. We raced cars and watched Grandma open a few presents.
We headed back to Austin after nap time. It was a little tougher ride than on the way to Houston. Logan wanted to go back to see "Grandpa/Grandpa" and kept saying that he missed Grandpa. It was cute the first 800 times. This morning he woke up and said "where is Grandma?" I guess they had a good time. Isabel keeps showing me her staples and scar. Haha.. I think grandpa impressed her with the new battle wounds.
Today Logan had therapy from 12-2pm. Not the best times, but it ended up working out pretty well. I took Isabel and we went grocery shopping while he was in therapy. I've been going to Whole Foods and think I've finally figured out how not to spend Brian's entire paycheck on a weeks worth of groceries from there. I've also found a good alternative to Nutrigrain Bars (Logan's favorite 'food'). It's an all natural, preservative free, organic pop tart type of thing. I made homemade bars last week and, while they were delicious, I ate over half of them. Not good.
This week I hope to clear out more clutter for the garage sale/Ebay, do some deep cleaning, and get Isabel's birthday party invitations made. If I get really crazy maybe I'll even get some Easter decorations up.

Pantry and Bathroom Mirror
Last week I cleaned out and reorganized the pantry. So far the labeled bin system is working out well and looks so much better than before. We are in the process of weaning off of artificial dyes, HFCS and preservatives. It's a work in progress. At the suggestion of Logan's OT I'm reading a book about childhood disease and nutrition. I'll post a picture. I just started it, so don't have any comments about it yet.
Sunday night around 8pm I decided that we needed to finally frame out the bathroom mirror. Brian went to get supplies and, although it took longer than I promised him it would, it was done Monday night. I like it. Easy and cheap DIY project that really adds a lot.
We are still waiting to close on our refi. I think we're almost to day 100. They finally confirmed Brian's appointment at work on Friday and pinged our credit reports AGAIN. I know they are busy, but this is sort of ridiculous.
We (izzy, logan and I) played barbies today. Izzy and I play often, but Logan asked to join in and he actually got the concept and played with us! He was Merida, I was Belle and Izzy was (shockingly) Cinderella.
Logan still asks to watch 'Shark Tale' at least 5 times a day. I've seen the first 15-20 minutes of that movie about 800 times.

Art in Our Park
Logan had 'Art in Our Park' last week at school. We brought in some snacks and goodies and both of the 2 year old classes has all of their artwork on display outside. It was really cute walking around and seeing all of the creations and hanging out with Logan at school for a couple of hours. His teachers are the best and I really hope they move up with the class next year.

CX works, Bye Bye Paci!
Glad it's Friday! Very grateful for family and friends and health and good doctors!
I was feeling like a beast this morning and did 2 workouts. Spin was amazing and I was drenched. There is a new class at the gym called CXWorks and it is thebomb.com (sorry about using that. Just had to). I did that after spin. It's an all core class and, as promised, I've seen huge gains in strength in a short amount of time. I try to do it 2-3 times per week. The first few classes were extremely challenging, but now I can get through the tracks (it's choreographed like Body Pump) and it feels amazing.
Last night we did something crazy. We put the kids to bed at 8:30pm. Isabel didn't get to sleep until around 9:00, but still!!! At 9:30pm Brian and I both commented that it felt like 11pm. We watched two 'The Walking Dead.' We're a little late to the party and are only on season 1 episode 4, but I LOVE it! I thought it was on HBO or some other premium channel, but it's on AMC! Woohoo! We have 30 episodes on the DVR to watch.
We went cold turkey with Logan on the paci. He was usually just getting it to sleep, but he was starting to bite them and that's a choking hazard, so they went in the trash. It was not easy. It's still not easy. Logan has skipped naps since we've done it.
Isabel is loving her big bed. She asks to go to a 'magical place' when I lay down with her before bed or when she wakes up. We tells stories about the bed being a carriage, magical carpet, cloud, etc etc. It's so fun.
This happened last night while we were in the kitchen.
Logan: I wanna go jump on bed.
Izzy: Ok!!! Let's GO!
Brian: You know we can hear you, right?!
